Since 2013 we have developed a series of ‘stepping stone’ projects that engage children and families in the Christian Faith. We aim to reach out to people beyond the church building into our schools, communities and families. A team of volunteers and our paid Children, Families & Schools Worker help to support and deliver these activities.
We have six historic churches that as a team, provide creative initiatives in a variety of worship styles and across different venues. We also work closely with local Methodist churches.
* Messy church
* Christmas and Easter specials
* Developing all-age worship services
In the past we have also run or offered ...
* Sundaze * Sunday school
We work with five primary schools (more than any other Team in Devon). We strive to build strong relationships with children, parents, staff and governors through the delivery of a range of Christian-based teaching.
* “Open the book” * Collective worship
* Leavers support * Services
* Support for SIAMS and RE Lessons
In the past we have also run or offered ...
* “Godly play” * “Bible story club”
We are keen to be a visible presence in our community and to signpost people we meet to the range of services we offer. Our aim is to serve our whole community and not just those already known to our churches.
Providing a welcoming presence and children's activities at
* Fetes * Social gatherings * Community events
At the heart of all this work are children and their families. It is in the home that the seeds of faith are nurtured and we aim to support and resource our families to grow.

We follow the safeguarding policies of the Parish and Methodist Churches and volunteer leaders are DBS checked.
