Key Actions:
1. We have a SoulFire Youth Safeguarding Statement (review in Nov 2026)
2. We follow St. John's PCC Safeguarding Policy (review at 1st PCC after APCM 2026)
See the policy here: https://www.sptmc.uk/statements/safeguarding
3. The PCC records that we meet in a home, reviews us annually and covers us under the church insurance policy (review in Nov 2026)
4. We have a risk assessment (review in Nov 2026)
5. We hold an 'informed consent form' for each young person who attends and keep a register of attendance
6. We have an additional adult present for SF Youth, as the couple leading only count as 1 person for safeguarding
7. Our regular additional adults have a DBS, preferably through Sampford Peverell Team Mission Community, but sometimes through sister organisations (i.e. The Methodist Church). On the odd occasion we need to ask a parent to be the additional adult the leader will ensure interactions are always accompanied.
8. Our regular leaders and helpers are given Role Descriptions (Reviewed in Nov 2026)
9. Our main leaders are First Aid Trained (they are childminders) and there is a First Aid Kit in the house
