INDUCTION OF OUR NEW RECTOR
On 19th March 2025 the Induction of our new Rector, Revd Rachel Dunn took place at Halberton. She was licensed by the Bishop of Exeter, the Rt Revd Mike Harrison in a packed service.

In April the bells were taken down and sent to the Foundery at Loughborough for renovation and retuning.

A team of volunteers went into Halberton School to help make Christingles in December. The service in church was enjoyed by the whole school.

THE SORCEROR
In July 2002 pupils from Kent College put on a performance of Gilbert and Sullivan's 'The Sorceror', with proceeds going to St Andrew's. It was a truly memorable evening, with excellent performances by the young people.
The church is set in the heart of the village, next to the Village School.
The pre-recorded Communion Service on Advent Sunday 2020 came from Halberton.

About usHalberton is a thriving and growing community with many local amenities. It has a Methodist Church and ‘The Hickory’ public house and restaurant. There is a well-used village hall, where a regular outreach Post Office is located and a thriving Farm Shop with a cafe. The library van visits regularly and there is a very active village community with numerous clubs and societies.
The ChurchSt. Andrew’s Church, dates back to the 13th Century, with a 12th century pulpit and font and a 15th century screen. It is located at the centre of the village and is adjacent to the village Primary School. Worship is broadly traditional, Eucharistic vestments are used, and it has a mature and faithful congregation. A programme of improvements is in hand for the church including the installation of an inside toilet and kitchen, better lighting and the removal of some pews.
