PRAYER SPACE
Each of the churches in the Team is creating a Prayer Space, for anyone who wishes to come into church and spend some quiet time there.
In the space is a Bible, a box for prayer requests and a prayer tree where prayers may be hung.
We hope that people will feel welcome to to come in and make use of these spaces.
This is the Prayer Space at Holcombe Rogus.
About usHolcombe Rogus is a friendly, thriving and active community. It has a long history and is an attractive and sought-after village. There is a happy mix of families who live here. The village hall is the focus for many activities including a mothers' and toddlers' group, WI, monthly village lunch, fairs and coffee mornings. There are also ad-hoc entertainments at the hall, usually to support charities. These are always well attended and enjoyed by all age groups from the village.Apart from the beautiful church building, the historic centrepiece of the village is Holcombe Court, a stunning Elizabethan house with Victorian additions that has recently been beautifully renovated. The medieval Priest’s House, adjacent to the church and owned and let out by the Landmark Trust, is also interesting.
The Church The church building dates from the mid 13th century and has several interesting features. The church is friendly and active. Services are generally traditional in style with music a central and important part of worship. This is led and enhanced by an able and enthusiastic choir and organist who also support the team services in the other team churches.

Each of the churches within The Sampford Peverell Team Mission Community fully recognizes and accepts the House of Bishops’ Safeguarding Policy Statement “Promoting a Safer Church 2017” and commits to complying with the current Church of England and Diocesan safeguarding policies and practice guidance. In so doing we will comply with the secular multi-agency safeguarding procedures relating to children and young people and adults experiencing or at risk of harm, abuse or neglect.
