The REACH Project

A quote from the REACH project

'Exploring accessible ways for children and young people to hear the gospel message with our rural community'.

The Reach project works with young children across the Sampford Peverell Team Mission Community but also they work with the Culm Valley Mission Community and Dunkeswell Mission Community. To read more about the REACH project please click HERE for their website.

ploring accessible ways for children and young people to hear Claire Nichols is our Schools Chaplain from the REACH project, she started working in our five schools in September. We have welcomed her with open arms, and very much look forward to working with her and supporting her as she establishes relationships with each of the schools.

She kindly sent in this 'bio' about herself.

I'm really excited to be working with you from September! My name is Claire and I'm the lead worker for the REACH project, linking rural churches and schools together with creative children's work.  I have three grown up children and am married to Matthew. I've worked for St Mary's Church for 10 years as a children's and families worker but my role is expanding from September so that I will be working across nine schools, a messy church, two preschools and leading Uffculme Toddler Group too. I love working with children, finding creative ways to share faith and finding ways to link church, school and wider communities. When I'm not working I'm often found at our allotment or at our local library. I enjoy knitting, sewing my own clothes, crafting, baking cakes, and having a chat over a cuppa!
